CAKE Payments Accelerated Funding

What is Accelerated Funding (AF)?

Accelerated Funding is an optional funding program operators can opt-in for that allows operators to receive funds as soon as possible.
 

Who is this for?

Any operator who is processing credit cards on the POS & Orderpad via CAKE Payments is eligible for Accelerated Funding.
 

How do I enroll?

Existing CAKE Payments operators:

1. Sign in to the Restaurant Portal at https://admin.cake.net and click on Payments Settings.

2. Clicking on Payments Settings will take you to the CAKE Payments Settings page where you will see that Credit Card Processing has been enabled for your account.

You will see a check box to enable Accelerated Funding here.

3. Select the check box for Accelerated Funding and click APPLY.

4. Click YES on the pop-up. 

5. Once Accelerated Funding is enabled successfully, you will see the check becoming permanent and the date Accelerated Funding was enabled appear below the check box.

New operators: If you are new to CAKE Payments, you can enable Accelerated Funding when onboarding to CAKE Payments by checking the ENABLE ACCELERATED FUNDING ($25/MO.) checkbox at the end of the form. Click here for more details on CAKE Payments onboarding.

What is the cost?

Accelerated Funding is $25 per month. There is no fee per batch.

What is the batch cut-off time to qualify for Accelerated Funding?

9:00 PM EST (6:00 PM PST) - Batching out is called "Closing Cash" on the CAKE POS.

I forgot to close cash before the AF Cut off time. Can I still get my funds the next day?

No. If the cut-off time is missed, you will not be eligible for Accelerated Funding for that day. You will get the funds according to the normal funding schedule.

I was only able to close cash before the AF cut-off time of 10 days for this month. Will I get charged for the whole month?

Yes.

I am using Cake Payments for both POS and E-Commerce transactions. Do I get Accelerated Funding for both?

Yes. 

Is the Accelerated Funding option available if I am processing only E-Commerce on CAKE Payments?

No, you need to process POS transactions on CAKE Payments to enable the next-day funding option.

My batch amount is only $20. Will I get paid out as Accelerated Funding?

No. You should have at least $50 to be eligible for funding.
