The Split Check feature in CAKE POS allows you to efficiently handle orders by splitting checks, dividing items, undoing splits, or transferring items to another order. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for using these functions.

To split an entire check:
- Open the order you want to split.
- Click the Split Check icon (split arrow icon) at the top of the order.
- The current check will appear on the left-hand side.
- Click the + Check button on the top right. You can add as many checks as needed.
- Highlight the items you want to move by selecting them.
- Click the new check you want to move the items to.
- Click Done to save your changes.

To divide a single item between checks:
- Open the order containing the item you want to split.
- Click the Split Check icon.
- Highlight the item you want to split by selecting it.
- Click the Split Item button at the bottom of the screen.
- A pop-up will appear. Select the checks you want to split the item between.
- Click Split Item to save your changes.
Note: A split item cannot be transferred to a different order.
If you need to combine checks or undo a split:
- Open the split order.
- Click the Split Check icon to display all checks.
- Click the Undo All button at the bottom of the screen.
- Confirm by selecting Undo All in the pop-up.
- Click Done to save your changes.
To transfer items from one order to another:
- Open the original order containing the items you want to move.
- Click the Split Check icon.
- Highlight the items you want to move by selecting them.
- Click the Move to Order button at the bottom of the screen.
- In the Transfer to pop-up, select the order you would like to move the item to.
- Click Apply to save your changes.
- Click Done to return to the order screen.

The Split Check feature helps you handle customer requests with ease, whether it's splitting checks, dividing items, or moving items between orders. By using these tools, your team can ensure smooth and flexible service.
