To access Close Cash System Options, follow these simple steps on your POS system:
- Go to the Main Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Navigate to System Options.
- Click on the Close Cash tab.
Once you’re on the Close Cash tab, you’ll have access to a variety of settings to customize your close cash workflow.

1.Cash In Drawer Entry:
- When toggled ON, this setting prompts you to input the amount counted during the close directly into the CAKE system, ensuring accurate tracking of cash in your registers or cash drawers.

2. Cash You Should Have:
- When toggled ON, this setting displays the expected amount of cash that should be in the drawer before counting down. Any variance between the expected and actual amounts will be shown on the screen and final closing receipt, facilitating quick identification of discrepancies.

3. Auto Deduct Card Tips:
- When toggled ON, this setting automatically subtracts any earned card tips from the cash amount in the drawer.

4. Close Cash Email:
- Receive Reports via Email: Enter an email address to receive a close cash report when close cash is completed. Additional email addresses can be added for other stakeholders such as accountants or managers.
- To add another email address click + New Row.

5. Customizable Closing Receipt Sections:
- Tailor the sections that appear on both the main and employee closing receipts by checking or unchecking specific items, ensuring that only relevant information is included.

6. Print Closing Receipt:
- Choose to receive your closing receipt via email for a paperless approach or opt to have it printed by default, providing flexibility to suit your preferences.

7. Close Cash (Time of Day)
- When toggled ON, this setting will automatically finalize the cash drawer at a specified time (e.g., 4:45 AM). This ensures that you days' sales and transactions are captured, even if staff forget to manually close.
